Here we are again at graduation seasons-can't believe it. As an aging Boomer, I remember the excitement of high school graduation and anticipation of the future easier than what I had for lunch today. Has it really been that long? Wow! We early 70's grads really thought we'd blaze trails back then, only to be challenged by the economic downturns of the 1973 oil embargo and production slow-downs after the end of the VietNam War. Nonetheless, we wanted peace and justice along with economic security and were certain we'd do a better job at it than the Old Timers of our time. Bur reality soon spit in our faces, and here we are 40 years later. Do I have any advice for you GenY'ers. Hardly! However in my humble opinion, Baz Luhrmann's advice to the Class of '99 is the best I've ever heard.
